SUMMARY:Boat Club Input Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the workshop is to\, with the participation of Seaside Landings owners\, develop a framework for what a community boat club might look like\, how it is funded and operated. While no final decisions will be made at the workshop\, it will offer the board valuable input into the interest of owners and viability of how a boat club might be set up and operated. \nBackground: \nSeaside Landings is a waterfront community\, with direct access to the Intracoastal being a dominant value. Most owners acquired property at Seaside Landings with the intent of experiencing water activities\, however not everyone is necessarily a proponent of owning their own boat\, with which comes the need to construct a dock facility and requires ongoing maintenance. For owners in that category\, based on informal polling\, a shared utility arrangement where a boat is available in the community for use on a subscription and scheduled basis offers an attractive option. \nDuring the workshop Norbert will present a sample boat club framework skeleton for consideration\, following which we will follow a process to engage all attendees to contribute thoughts\, alternate ideas and expertise to finalize how the Seaside Landings Boat Club will operate\, if adopted.
