  1. Thank you to all the participated and helped in setting up the Q&A on Saturday. It was great to see so many concerned about the trajectory of our community and to see those who even participated via zoom from out of country and taking the time out of their vacations. Regarding the contractor letters, I can only speak for myself, but the statements made regarding my situation are accurate and I welcome anyone to call me to discuss. 305.613.4379.

  2. Thank you Les, and the testimonial letters from concerned builders was “FAR” from the truth.

Though neither were our builder, I have spoken to homeowners using them and they have experienced quite a bit of stress with misrepresentation and false statements.

I would encourage folks to seek out and speak to some of these homeowners to see what they have experienced first hand. Choosing a good builder who follows the guidelines and covenants set forth by the developer, is paramount to their experience. The actions of the current board are clearly intended to keep potential homeowners from having a bad experience and to ensure our neighborhood continues to grow in value.

As for the statements regarding “changed language” for shoreline stabilization and seawalls, nothing was changed, only clarification to help the builders accurately determine where they can build. There was an open HOA meeting where all were invited (I was there). Language clarification was explained, understood and accepted by all board members, with no exceptions from homeowners. Notes were also sent out and it was also placed on the Watson portal for all to see. This clarification was to help the builders determine exactly where they can place seawalls and docks.

Thus, the statement made in the letter “These rules were enacted without transparency and without Member notification” is ENTIRELY inaccurate!

The board worked with Flagler county on this issue. The county came out and identified where pins were located. This made it easier and quicker for builders to move forward.

There has been NO lack of transparency or communication by the board. The biggest issue I see, most homeowners don’t come to the meetings and unfounded assumptions are made when issues are encountered.

Countless hours of personal time have been spent to ensure the community stays beautiful and the home values continue to grow. We should all be thanking the people on our board and architectural committee for their personal dedication and time.

Please, before outrageous statements are made public to other homeowners or potential homeowners, please take the time to get FACTS in order. Incorrect statements are causing homeowners more harm and stress than they deserve.

  3. Thank you Norbert. We all have received mailings from both sides. I look forward to directly hearing from all the candidates. This is not the only forum where individuals need to decide where the truth lies, and which candidates can move our neighborhood forward.
